We have had a fantastic start to the Spring term with a new topic all about Space. We have learnt about our solar system and investigated how craters are made on the moon. We have written about astronauts after reading our book, Goodnight Spaceman, and pretended to fly off into space in our home corner spaceship. It was a very cold start to the year so we explored freezing and melting when we learnt about the signs of winter. You can have a look at our kites that we made to fly in the windy weather too. In maths, we have been learning about capacity and our understanding of ‘full’ and ‘empty’. We also celebrated Lunar New Year by making masks and learning a dragon dance which was lots of fun!
