Dance
“To Dance is to be out of yourself, larger, more beautiful, more powerful? This is power, it is glory on earth and it is yours for the taking.”
Agnes De Mille
The Performing Arts team at Tudor Grange Samworth Academy are committed to providing practical opportunities to study some of the great works of Choreographers from 1900’s to modern day. In Dance we aim to inspire our dances to excellence; through knowledge of dance theories, practitioners and their techniques, and through choreography and performance. Pupils will be given opportunities to work creatively as a team and gain understanding of the roles within a theatre and the processes that underpin dance theatre as a whole. The department aims to inspire a love of performing arts that will last a lifetime.
